Supporting Local Talent in Yorkshire
We’re delighted to announce our sponsorship of Lucas Skilbeck, a talented young golfer from North Yorkshire, as he continues his journey towards becoming a professional golfer.
As a Yorkshire business, we’re passionate about supporting local talent and helping young people pursue ambitious goals. Our sponsorship will provide Lucas with financial support of up to £1,000 through to 2027, helping cover competition fees, equipment upgrades and accommodation costs while travelling to tournaments.
At just 14 years old, Lucas has already built an impressive golfing CV. He is the current Leeds & District Junior Matchplay Champion and has reached the semi-finals while defending his title this season. He also finished runner-up in the Yorkshire Boys Championship, missing first place by just a single shot.

Supporting Local Talent
Our Managing Director, Tom Spence, said:
“We’re delighted to sponsor a young Yorkshire talent like Lucas as he continues to develop his skills and work towards his ambition of becoming a professional golfer. To have achieved so much by the age of 14 is an incredible accomplishment. Lucas has shown great determination, drive and talent, and we hope our sponsorship gives him some of the support he needs throughout the season.”
Lucas first picked up a golf club with his dad at the age of two and has gone on to win multiple junior competitions, including:
- Leeds & District Matchplay Championship.
- Leeds & District Junior Strokeplay Championship.
- Wee Wonders Open Golf Championship.
He has also represented clubs including Drax Golf Club, The Oaks Golf Club & Spa, and Selby Golf Club, and has twice competed in England Golf’s prestigious Reid Trophy.
A Bright Future Ahead
Lucas has been part of the Yorkshire Union of Golf Clubs Boys Squad since the age of 11, where he has continued to develop alongside some of the county’s most promising young golfers.
Looking ahead, Lucas plans to continue his education through a UK golf college before pursuing a scholarship in the USA as he works towards his dream of playing professional golf.
We’re excited to follow Lucas’s progress over the coming seasons and wish him every success in his upcoming tournaments.
Best of luck, Lucas!
At 4 Cladding Services, we’re proud to support local communities, young talent and initiatives that make a positive difference across Yorkshire and the wider construction industry.
